For the students that grew up with both parents working or in a single parent home, they are use to a certain amount of independence and self-sufficiency. For those who had a parent or grandparent taking care of them, it can be a culture shock to be on their own. Food often is the least of their concerns because of all the fast food restaurants that offer a variety of food to choose their meals from. College students don’t have to think outside the box or inside a tortilla because they can are a large variety of foods types available with a little planning.
