You probably already thought this thanks to the numerous commercials and movie scenes that show people sitting on a terrace in Italy sipping a cup of coffee. While this marketing may be a bit of an exaggeration, this portrayal of Italian life does have some basis in reality. If you ever get the chance to take a stroll down the streets of a major Italian city, you will see a lot of people drinking coffee while reading the newspaper.
